We hypothesize that lambs fed diets with different lipids sources from oilseeds would similar performance but fatty acids profile of meat superior to those conventional diets. evaluated the effects inclusion on ingestive behaviour, performance, carcass trait and quality in feedlot lambs. Three isonitrogenous (18.31% crude protein) were evaluated, where one diet was standard (control), others two contained soybean cottonseed. Fifteen Texel lambs, weighting 28.5 ± 1.65 kg distributed a completely randomized design by 56 days. Animals demonstrated greater final body weight when compared animals cottonseed diet. The provided lower average daily gain total gain. Ingestive behaviour grains resulted rumination time. Lambs spent time during presented number chews/day. hot cold values cottonseeds There no significant difference for marbling, maturity, fat texture shear force. Meat had highest content. effect composition meat. treated have amounts mostly unsaturated ones, related decrease cholesterol levels, risk cardiovascular diseases, thus, enrich produced benefit human health.
